KEN GOLDWASSER
PRODUCER
Ken Goldwasser's road to film was anything but conventional, and that's exactly what makes him such an invaluable member of the INTO THE BLUE team. After graduating from the Storm King school and earning a Geology degree from Emory University, Ken followed his curiosity into the world of diamonds and rare gemstones. He studied at the Gemological Institute and eventually opened his own fine jewelry business in Atlanta, working with elite design houses and collectors for over 25 years.

But Ken’s story didn’t stop there. A lifelong motorsport enthusiast, he pivoted to racing in the next chapter of his career: driving, fueling, and managing pit setups for endurance race teams. That passion for precision and performance eventually led him to the film industry, where he now heads up Picture Cars on major studio productions. He also sits on the board of directors for his alma mater, Storm King, and contributes significantly to the Chelko Foundation, supporting female creatives at SCAD.

LAYNE BRIGHTWELL
PRODUCER
Layne Brightwell is primarily known for her work as a costume designer and in the costume department for numerous films and television shows. Some of her many notable credits include Ozark, The People Vs. Leo Frank, The Birth of a Nation, Tombstone, Glory, and Seabiscuit.
She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), where she was honored as Alumna of the Year in 2005.

Brightwell is also an author of children's books set in the fictional world of Malabagoo, featuring characters like Josh By Gosh, Lola Bagola, Courageous Dave, and Queen Maurine. Brightwell has a passion for books and history, inheriting a love for books from her grandmother, and for libraries from a two-hundred-year-old home she frequented as a child. As a result, she now has a collection of over 2500 books, mostly from the 1800’s and early 1900’s; and she has renovated (restored?) four historic homes, including a Victorian family home that is often called "the most photographed house in Georgia."

As a creative, she’s always producing something. When not working on films or writing stories, she’s painting canvases and making pottery out of clay she gathers from her farm.
