:: LOGLINE ::

Determined to defy 1930s gender barriers and her own fragile health, a fearless young woman battles asthma, prejudice, and societal norms to become Georgia's first female pilot.

:: SUMMARY OF THE STORY ::

In 1926, Macon, Georgia, a young HAZEL RAINES breaks away from traditional girlhood norms, ditching dolls to chase paper airplanes with the boys.

Years later, she walks into an airline office to ask the legendary aviator, CAPTAIN ROCKFORD, to teach her how to fly. He initially laughs her off until Hazel rattles off advanced aviation knowledge with grit and grace. Reluctantly, he gives her a shot at training. Once enrolled, Hazel finds herself isolated as the only woman in class, fighting harder than anyone else just to be taken seriously.

Her journey through flight school is both physical and emotional. Hazel battles severe asthma in secret, nearly passing out mid-flight during her first solo. When classmates mock her breathing condition, she nearly quits, but Rockford pushes back, challenging her to believe in herself. Hazel pushes past fear and returns to the sky.

The film closes with Hazel receiving her letter into the Royal Airforce and off into history!
